Maximo Recio is a media artist working on immersive installations and digital scenography. By integrating light, sound and a sculptural approach to video, Maximo creates augmented spaces — physical environments embedded with digital content.
Rooted in generative processes, Maximo’s work explores humanity’s inherent relationship with technology and nature, and the continuous endeavour to harmonise them. Through this analytical lens, his installations explore the fluid boundaries between the organic and the synthetic, inviting reflection on our evolving connection to the natural world.
Maximo has created work globally for cultural institutions, performing artists and selected brands. His installations have been featured in museums and galleries such as Tate Modern in London, Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro and the Power Station of Art in Shanghai.
Maximo graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2016.
