Forma is a site-specific installation woven into the architecture of Qatar Preparatory School in Doha, home to OMA’s acclaimed Countryside exhibition.

Commissioned by Qatar Museums, the work unfolds as a visual and sonic journey, from figurative images of nature to atmospheric abstraction, and finally to precise computational form.

Across these shifts, imagery moves between organic matter and its technological translation. The installation does not simply depict nature; it refracts it through processes of mediation, simulation, and reconstruction.

The soundscape, composed by Mimi Xu mirrors this evolution, weaving together natural and synthetic textures to evoke the emotional undercurrent between the organic and the computational.
